Question by Wink: Is the first sex scene of Brokeback Mountain the short story as violent as the movie's version?
If not, why do you think the movie's version is this way?

I don't consider that scene violent. I consider it what it's supposed to be: two men who have no idea what they're doing releasing pent up tension.
It's meant to look hurried & rough, so you understand their desperation to be close now that they've let go for a moment.
