Is it ok to sleep in the same bed with friend of opposite sex?

If we are attracted to each other? My male friend and I are attracted to each other, but we have never did anything sexual. Do you think us sleeping in the same bed would be a bad idea? We suppose to be going out of town together and staying in a hotel. He suggested we could sleep in the same bed.
